Breve historia:
En mi calidad de Senior Investment Broker y desde el año 2010, he organizado viajes y reuniones de trabajo, de empresarios argentinos con sus pares belizeños.
En estas reuniones, fueron presentados proyectos ganaderos, viales, aeroportuarios y de seguridad entre otros.
El objetivo fue propiciar el comercio bilateral.
En lo Institucional, relacioné a funcionarios belizeños con sus homónimos argentinos y apoyé a la Policía de Belize con equipamiento.
En el ámbito de la cultura junto con Beatriz Ramirez, mi esposa, hemos promovido la visita de profesores argentinos de Arte Visual, que ofrecieron seminarios en diversas instituciones de Belize. También hemos auspiciado, entre otros eventos, concursos de fotografía, adquisición de instrumentos musicales, donación de libros de reconocidos autores de la literatura argentina.
Hemos trabajado junto con instituciones de la cultura belizeña tales como la Casa de la Cultura de Benque Viejo del Carmen y CACHE (Comunidad de Artistas para Emprendimientos Culturales e Históricos). Entre otras actividades realizamos la generación de los primeros registros, edición y promoción del Patrimonio Intangible del lugar.
En aquellos años Belize era un destino turístico poco explorado en Argentina. Con el propósito de mostrar las bellezas belizeñas al turista argentino, comenzamos un trabajo de registro de los lugares más icónicos de Belize, sus fiestas tradicionales y su hotelería. Finalmente invitamos agentes turísticos a visitar nuestro hermoso Belize.
Impulsamos en el Gobierno de Belize la eliminación de Visa Previa para los ciudadanos argentinos, cuya norma rige desde el 1 de Agosto de 2012.
El Honorable Ministro Erwin Contreras, a quien considero mi mentor, fue quien impulsó a nivel gubernamental la apertura de este Consulado de Belize que el Gobierno Argentino aprobó el 23 de noviembre de 2015.
El 24 de febrero de 2016 el Gobierno Argentino procedió a mi acreditación provisional como Cónsul Honorario de Belize, en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires y con Jurisdicción Consular en todo el territorio de la República Argentina. Fui ratificado por el Congreso de la Nación Argentina mediante Ley 27485.
Brief history:
In my capacity as Senior Investment Broker and since 2010, I organized trips and work meetings of Argentine businessmen with their Belizean counterparts.
At these meetings, livestock, road, airport and security projects, among others, were put up.
The main goal was to promote bilateral trade.
Institutionally, I related Belizean officials with their Argentine counterparts and supported the Belize Police with equipment.
In the field of culture, together with Beatriz Ramirez, my wife, we have promoted the visit of Argentine Visual Art professors, who offered seminars in various institutions in Belize. We have also sponsored, among other events, photography contests, acquisition of musical instruments, donation of books by renowned authors of Argentine literature.
We have worked together with institutions of Belizean culture such as the Casa de la Cultura de Benque Viejo del Carmen and CACHE (Community of Artists for Cultural and Historical Endeavours). Among other activities, we carry out the generation of the first records, edition and promotion of the Intangible Heritage of the place.
In those years Belize was unexplored tourist destination in Argentina. With the purpose of showing the beauty of Belize to the Argentine tourist, we began a work to register the most iconic places in Belize, its traditional festivals and its hotels. Finally we invite tourist agents to visit our beautiful Belize.
We promote in the Government of Belize the non-Prior Visa requirement for Argentine citizens, in effect since August 1, 2012.
The Honorable Minister Erwin Contreras, whom I consider my mentor, was the one who promoted at the governmental level the opening of this Consulate of Belize that the Argentine Government approved on November 23, 2015.
On February 24, 2016, the Argentine Government proceeded to my provisional accreditation as Honorary Consul of Belize, in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires and with Consular Jurisdiction throughout the territory of the Argentine Republic. I was ratified by the Congress of the Argentine Nation through Law 27485.
