PARQUES NACIONALES:
Parque Nacional Guanacaste: venado Cola Blanca, jaguarundi, kinkajou, armadillos, aves (motmot Coronado Azul, Pájaro Carpintero, Curruca de la Magnolia y Martín Pescador con cinturón)
Parque Nacional Billy Barquedier: senderos naturales y cascadas
Parque Nacional Río Blanco: senderos naturales y cascada.
Parque Nacional St. Herman’s Blue Hole: cuevas, desagües naturales y senderos naturales.
Parque Nacional Laughing Bird: aves, tortugas marinas, tiburones nodriza, barracudas y peces ángel.
Parque Nacional Mayflower Bocawina: Senderos naturales y cascadas.

RESERVAS DE NATURALEZA Y BOSQUES:
Parque Nacional y Reserva Forestal Chiquibul: Guacamayos escarlatas, el Arco Natural -una formación geográfica- y el Sistema de Cuevas de Chiquibul (el más grande de Centroamérica).
Mountain Pine Ridge: gatos salvajes y aves (curruca, pico cruzado común, buitre real, motmot coronado azul y tucán pico de quilla).

SANTUARIOS DE VIDA SILVESTRE:
Swallow Caye: Manatíes.
Gales Point: tortugas marinas y manatíes.
Crooked Tree: cigüeña jabiru, espátula rosada, pato verde azulado de alas azules y otras aves.
Cockscomb Basin: Gatos monteses (jaguar, jaguarundi, ocelote, puma y margay) El tapir y aves.

SANTUARIOS DE AVES:
Man-O-War Caye: piqueros y fragatas.
Bird Caye: garcetas, garzas, anhingas, ibis blanco y cormoranes de doble cresta.

RESERVAS MARINAS:
Atolón Turneff: Pez sapo manchado blanco, delfines, rayas águila, mantarrayas, tortugas marinas, morenas verdes, pez judía Gian, pez tronco y otros.
Glover’s Reef Atoll: lugar de desove del mero de Nassau en peligro de extinción (cerrado a la pesca)
Hol Chan: tiburones nodriza, tortugas marinas y mantarrayas.
Caye Caulker: manatíes, gorgonias amarillas, coral estrella y pez ángel reina.
Bacalar Chico: gatos monteses, cocodrilos, manatíes, tortugas marinas.
South Water Caye: piqueros, fragatas, tortugas marinas, manatíes, rayas águila moteada, mero negro y mero de Nassau.
Reserva Marina Gladden Spit y Silk Caye: tiburones ballena.

MONUMENTOS NATURALES:
Monumento Natural Blue Hole: estalactitas a más de 100 pies de profundidad y tiburones de arrecife.
Monumento Natural Half Moon Caye: piqueros patas de junco, magníficas fragatas, águilas pescadoras, garcetas y otros.
Monumento Natural Victoria Peak: Aves (pava crestada, manakin de collar blanco, loros y tucanes), gatos monteses, armadillos, gibnut y agouti.

RESERVAS PRIVADAS:
Community Baboon Sancturary: monos aulladores, aves, iguanas y armadillos.

NATIONAL PARKS:
Guanacaste National Park: White-tailed deer, jaguarundi, kinkajou, armadillos, birds (Blue-Crowned Motmot, Woodpecker, Magnolia Warbler, and Belted Kingfisher)
Billy Barquedier National Park: Nature trails and waterfalls.
Rio Blanco National Park: Nature trails and waterfall.
St. Herman’s Blue Hole National Park: Caves, sinkhole, and nature trails.
Laughing Bird National Park: Birds, sea turtles, nurse sharks, barracuda, and angelfish.
Mayflower Bocawina National Park: Nature trails and waterfalls.

NATURE AND FOREST RESERVES:
Chiquibul National Park and Forest Reserve: Scarlet macaws, the Natural Arch-a geographical formation-and the Chiquibul Cave System (the largest in Central America).
Mountain Pine Ridge: Wild cats, and birds (Warbler, Common Crossbill, King Vulture, Blue Crowned Motmot, and Keel-Billed Toucan).

WILDLIFE SANCTUARIES:
Swallow Caye: Manatees.
Gales Point: Sea Turtles and manatees.
Crooked Tree: Jabiru Stork, Roseate Spoonbill, Blue-Winged Teal Duck, and other birds.
Cockscomb Basin: Wild cats (jaguar, jaguarundi, ocelot, puma, and margay) The tapir, and birds.

BIRD SANCTUARIES:
Man-O-War Caye: Boobies and frigate birds.
Bird Caye: Egrets, herons, anhingas, White Ibis, and Double-Crested Cormorants.

MARINE RESERVES:
Turneff Atoll: White-spotted toadfish, dolphins, eagle rays, stingrays, sea turtles, green moray eels, Gian jewfish, trunkfish, and others.
Glover’s Reef Atoll: Spawning site for the endangered Nassau grouper (closed to fishing)
Hol Chan: Nurse sharks, Sea turtles, and Stingrays.
Caye Caulker: Manatees, yellow gorgonians, star coral, and queen angelfish.

Bacalar Chico: wild cats, crocodiles, manatees, sea turtles.
South Water Caye: boobies, frigates, sea turtles, manatees, spotted eagle rays, black grouper and Nassau grouper.
Gladden Spit and Silk Caye Marine Reserve: Whale Sharks.

NATURAL MONUMENTS:
Blue Hole Natural Monument: stalactites over 100 feet deep and reef sharks.
Half Moon Caye Natural Monument: reed-footed boobies, magnificent frigates, ospreys, egrets and others.
Victoria Peak Natural Monument: Birds (crested guan, white-collared manakin, parrots and toucans), bobcats, armadillos, gibnut and agouti.

PRIVATE RESERVATIONS:
Community Baboon Sancturary: Howler monkeys, birds, iguanas, and armadillos.
